The Under Secretary of State for Foreign
Affairs presents his compliments to the Under
Secretary of State for the Colonies and in
reply to his memorandum of the 10th instant begs
to state that His Majesty's Minister at Feking was
asked for his observations on the request of the
British American Tobacco Company Limited on March
20th and that his reply should shortly be received.
